Since getting a 50mm 1.4 lens for my Canon Rebel T1i right before the New Year, I've made a point to throw my camera over the shoulder whenever possible. My filmmaker boyfriend, Dana Shaw, has been patiently sharing advice about depth of field, lighting, and color correction to help me achieve the photographs I'm after.
